Founded by software security and utility experts, Atherion’s background includes experienced experts from Microsoft, Aluria Software (now an Earthlink company), McAfee and the financial industry. The Team

Jamie Southworth

Jamie spent most of her adult career in Sales & Marketing. In 1999 she founded Aluria Software, LLC with two partners. Aluria was a huge success with their breakout product, Spyware Eliminator being utilized by companies like America Online and Earthlink, Inc. In 2005 Jamie and her partners sold Aluria Software to Earthlink, Inc. Most recently she has launched Atherion Software, LLC with Jim, Matt, Beth, Larry and Dave.

Matt Henne

Prior to founding MPH Consulting, Matthew held sales and business development roles in various Silicon Valley startups in the 1990s, before running third party software offers on www.mcafee.com. During the past 10 years Matt has developed a network of creative and talented independent software developers, vendors, and distributors.

David Southworth

With a strong Business Operations & Information Technology background, David Southworth combines a talent for innovative ideas with the stability of strong management skills. Having owned his own businesses successfully & also working with smaller companies to develop the technical infrastructure as well as setting up systems and protocols, David eventually became a General Contractor and now brings his management and technical skill set to Atherion Software's partnership.

Larry Drescher

Larry worked with Microsoft supporting the release of Windows 95, Office 95, Excel 4, 5 and 95, Excel VBA and Excel 4 XLA, Multimedia support for all multimedia products, Windows NT 4.0 release and Windows NT 3.5.1. He is everything from a System Administrator to Senior Developer. He took on the Wachovia Bank Reporting system and developed and deployed with a 99.8% uptime surpassing a group of 3 developers all in the same project. To this day there have been over 4 million reports that have gone through the system.

Jim Kruse

Jim is a network and certified distributed computer systems specialist with an extensive C++ and VB programming background. He was one of the Co-founders of Aluria Software in 1999. Jim was the lead programmer and Chief Information Officer responsible for all software applications produced by Aluria. In 2008, Jim was one of founding partners of Atherion Software.

Beth Custer

Beth worked at Aluria Software LLC as a Spyware Research Technician and team leader. She was on the team for the spyware database project and helped with development. She was one of the earliest “spyware hunters" when the term spyware was still in its infancy.
